Two soldiers killed in ‘Pak rocket attack’on LoC in Poonch

Poonch/May,1: Indian Defese establishment Monday said that Pakistan Army killed two of its soldiers and mutilated their bodies in Poonch district of Jammu province .Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh has condemned the killing of soldiers on the line of control (LoC) in Poonch district in Jammu province.
Reports said that that army JCO and a BSF head constable were killed as Pakistan fired rockets at a forward defence location (FDL) post of the paramilitary force along the LoC in Poonch.
The ceasefire violation according to Indian Army took place around 8:30 am. Naib Subedar Paramjeet Singh and Head Constable Prem Sagar of the BSF’s 200 Battalion were killed in the attack and their bodies mutilated.
Army in a statement said that Pakistan army carried out unprovoked rocket and mortar firing on two forward posts on the line of control in Krishna Ghati sector,” said a statement, issued by Northern Army command on Monday afternoon.
“Simultaneously, a BAT action was launched on a patrol operating in between the two posts. In an un-soldierly act by the Pak army, the bodies of two of our soldiers in the patrol were mutilated.”
The army warned that they will avenge the Pak army action.
“Such despicable act of Pakistan army will be appropriately responded,” added the statement.
Meanwhile Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh Monday expressed anguish over the killing of two soldiers in Krishna Ghati area of Poonch district.
Dr Singh prayed for peace to the departed souls and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of slain soldiers.
Dy CM also expressed grief over the killing of five police personnel and two bank guards at Kulgam.
