Srinagar/April,22: Strongly condemning the re-arrest of senior Hurriyat leader Masarat Alam Bhat, chairman Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Geelani alleged that it is “State Terrorism and disgrace for their judicial system. Syed Ali Geelani expressed his deep concern over the deteriorating condition of party’s ailing leader, Mohammad Rustum Bhat and said that state administration is subjecting these detainees to vengeance. Tuesday in a statement, Geelani urged immediate release of both leaders and in his appeal to organization for human rights, asked to take their cognizance about unlawful detentions and prevailing grim situation in state.
Condemning the re-arrest of Masarat Aalam, Geelani said that there is no legal justification for his continuous detention, as judiciary bailed out him from all cases. The Indian agencies don’t favor his release and are creating hurdles, said Geelani and while lashing at state administration, said that they are following these agencies and thus prolonging his detention.
Ridiculing state administration, Geelani said that they are incompetent and helpless to such an extent that they could not make a free and fair decision for Allam’s case and his release. They are ‘’His master’s voice” said Geelani and left with only one option to follow dictates from their masters.
Syed Ali Geelani said that Mohammad Rustum Bhat, since last seven months is languishing in jail and ailing as no proper treatment is provided to him. Despite his deteriorating health condition, he is not being released, nor proper treatment is provided to him, said he. Geelani warned administration and said if any untoward happens to ailing leader, administration shall have to face consequences.
Expressing his deep concern over killing of a political worker, Advocate Abdul Gani Dar, Syed Ali Geelani said that there is no justification for these killings. It is unfair and against humanity to kill person for his specific ideology or affiliations. Syed Ali Geelani while denouncing these killings, said that secret killings will lead us to chaos and added that killing merely on political affiliations or for one’s political ideology is against teachings of Islam.
Teachings of Islam assign extra ordinary worth for human life and saving a human being is like saving of the whole humanity, said Geelani.
Syed Ali Geelani expressed his deep grief over sad demise of mother of Late president of Jamiat- e- Ahalihadees, Molana Showkat Ahmad Shah. He condoled the family and   prayed for departed soul and strength to bear the irreparable loss. On the directions of Syed Ali Geelani, a deputation comprising of district president Srinagar, Raja Meraj-u-Din and Mohammad Rafiq Owasi visited bereaved family and expressed sympathy on behalf of Syed Ali Geelani.
