Srinagar/April,22: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), J&K, Shantmanu, Tuesday called on the officials to gear up men and machinery in the run-up to the forthcoming bye-polls for the Anantnag parliamentary seat.
The CEO was addressing officials at a meeting to review the poll preparations. The meeting was attended by all the District Electoral Officers from the four districts of the Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency, and Assistant Returning Officers.
Shantmanu asked the officials to undertake all required steps necessary for the successful conduct of bye-polls. He asked the officials to maintain a grievance cell 24X7 so that prompt action is taken on any complaint received with regards to any issue related to the election.
He also reviewed the communications and transport plan charted out for the elections.
