Life remains crippled for 2nd day in Budgam

Srinagar/ April,14: Normal life remained crippled for the second successive day Friday in central Kashmir district of Budgam, where separatists have called for condolence meeting for eight youth killed in security force firing during bypolls in Srinagar parliamentary constituency on April 9.
A police official said there were no restrictions in any part of the Budgam though security forces remained deployed in strength to maintain law and order in view of condolence meeting called by separatists.
Shops and business establishments were closed and traffic was off the roads in entire Budgam, where very few private vehicles could be seen plying on some interior routes.
Meanwhile, additional security force personnel, wearing riot gear, have been deployed in Budgam to prevent any law and order problem.
Both the faction of Hurriyat Conference (HC) and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, spearheading the agitation ‘demanding right to self determination’, have called for condolence meeting for eight youth killed in security force firing on anti-election protestors during bypolls in Srinagar parliamentary constituency on April 9.
