Srinagar: A soldier died on spot while another received critical injuries after a grenade went off accidently inside at an army post.
Sources said army soldiers were busy in a drill at Jal Post of Karnah Sector of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district, when a grenade carried by a soldier went off suddenly, killing the soldier on spot while leaving another soldier injured.
A police official while confirming the incident identified the deceased soldier as Nayak Jogindar Singh. He said that another soldier Jitendar Singh is undergoing treatment at a military hospital.
