Saqib Gul
We are all aware about the adage “United we stand divided we fall”.It means if we are firmly unanimous while achieving any goal we are surely going to achieve that. But taking it’s literal meaning the present situation demands its vice versa. The proverb i mentioned may fit in other sense in the present scenario that we need not get physically united but united in evading the hustle and bustle and unnecessary public gatherings. A s we know the whole world is caught between the devil and deep blue sea . Everyone is on tenter hooks just because of a microscopic organism that is dead outside a living body and gets life as soon as gets entry into a living entity. It is the Noval corona virus with which the world was not familiar before. The word ‘Corona’is a Greek word which means ‘Crown’. Along with taking other precautions we need to put trust on the adage United we stand divided we fall but in opposite sense. We need to cut short our routine outings with our friends, abandon outdoor games and suspend othr activities demanding public gathering. What i above mentioned has got a strong reason .Instead of having regular screenings at various hot spots of those coming from abroad and outside the valley there are some culprits who escape this screening just to avoid the necessary quarantine period. They do so either by using their approach or by some hook or crook method. But they don’t realize what may be it’s consequences. God forbid if there happens to be a positive case among these escapists how can then they will be able to compensate the loss. The horrible image of Italy is in front of us and speaks volumes about such a miscreant approach. What blunder they did? What turned such a prosperous Nation into a mourning field? What they did ,they didn’t took serious the first knock of this deadly virus. They kept doing their routines.
Let’s keep the affection of one another in our hearts and maintain a considerable social distance for a while till the red letter day arrives and this Pandemic reduces to naught.Lets stay home and stay safe and let it be UNITED WE FALL, DIVIDED WE STAND.
They kept going to market, wander streets, meet friends , organize marriage ceremonies and so on. And now the result is wide and open before us. Now each passing day becomes a heart lacerating story in Italy. Now each day 200 people kick the bucket in Italy and it has surpassed the china (the birthplace of Covid -19) in the total number of deaths. Are not we repeating the same mistake out of our ignorance and selfishness. In every 3 minutes an Italian and in every 10 minutes an Iranian is dying. And here we have educated illiterates hiding travel histories and running away from quarantine. We need to show some decency and philanthropist character in order to prevent and uproot this Pandemic. I am also well aware that some people are reluctant to obey health advisories and taking precautions. They justify this from the religious point of view. They propound that we have trust on Allah and He will do each and everything for them. But is obviously their little knowledge or ignorance. Indeed Almighty Allah is all in all He has bestowed a man with wits and guts and directed to use it. Quran says :”Afala Taqeeluon,” i.e., put your wisdom on work”.And Abdur Rehman Ibn Awf (RA) narrates that I heard Prophet Mohammad(S.A.W) saying :”If you hear about it (the plague)in a land that you are in ,donot runaway from it and if you hear that it has broken out in a certain land ,donot enter that land “{Al Bukhari , Muslim, Abu Dawood , Ibn Majah etc}.what does this Hadith refers to and what are it’s implications. I t means besides putting our trust on Allah we have to strive hard to take necessary precautions as well .so if we possess the deeper knowledge of religion we can become self-satisfied and will not deny to take preventive measures. Now the responsibility lies on the big guns of the society i e., on the educated ones and also on the Imams and Orators .They need to put their shoulders to the wheel to aware the layman about this natural catastrophe in the form of Corona virus.Lets shun our selfishness let’s be responsible individuals of society and make it a beautiful place to live in. Lets strive hard to make every individual of the society hale and hearty as health is wealth. Let’s keep the affection of one another in our hearts and maintain a considerable social distance for a while till the red letter day arrives and this Pandemic reduces to naught.Lets stay home and stay safe and let it be UNITED WE FALL, DIVIDED WE STAND.
