Islamabad/May,11: Pakistan on Thursday said that a teenager was killed and three others injured in cross-border shelling by Indian security forces in various sectors along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir Pakistan on Thursday summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner in Islamabad over fresh ceasefire violations on the Line of Control and Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria in a tweet alleged that India had violated the ceasefire agreement in the Tandar, Sabzkot, Khuiratta, Baron, Bagsar and Khanjar sectors along the LoC.
Earlier in the day Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kotli Chaudhry Zulqarnain Sarfraz said that shelling allegedly by Indian border security forces killed one and injured two others in Sabzkot, reported Dawn News.
“A mortar shell pierced through the concrete roof of one house in Sabzkot village at about 2am, killing one and injuring two others while they were asleep,” SSP Sarfraz said.
The deceased was identified as Rizwan, 18, and the injured were his 14-year old sibling Kamran and 80-year old grandmother Wilay. He said another person – Raja Aziz, 75 — was injured in the Tayin village of Khuiratta sector, also in Kotli district.
Earlier, a national news portal reported that a woman was killed in shelling allegedly by Pakistani troops in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile Pakistan on Thursday summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner in Islamabad over fresh ceasefire violations on the Line of Control, that it said has left one Pakistani civilian dead and two others injured.
The Foreign Office said in a statement that Director General Mohammad Faisal (South Asia and Saarc Desk), summoned Deputy High Commissioner J.P. Singh and condemned the “unprovoked” ceasefire violation by Indian forces on the intervening night of May 10 and 11 in Tandar, Subzkot, Khuiratta, Baroh, Bagsar, Khanjar sectors.
The Indian envoy was conveyed that “deliberate” targeting of civilians was condemnable and contrary to international human rights and laws.
The Indian side was urged to respect the 2003 Ceasefire and probe the incident and maintain peace on the LoC
