Srinagar/May,3: J&K High Court Bar Association has strongly condemned the manhandling of four female members including an MBBS student, of a family at Bomai Sopore by Pazalpora based 22 RR Camp, who reportedly, on the pretext of conducting some survey, entered their house and not only misbehaved with them but also slapped one of the inmates and dragged her out of the house by hair alongwith other female members and thereafter beat them mercilessly.
In a press statement, the Bar Association demanded that the police station Bomai which has already registered an FIR No. 37/2017 in the matter, but have failed to provide any protection to the family, should immediately arrest all those army personnel, who have committed the crime and file a report against them in the Court of law so that they do not repeat their unlawful act of trespassing into the houses of innocent people and beat them in a “barbaric and beastedly” manner.
Meanwhile, in an Executive Committee meeting of the Bar Association, the members expressed their satisfaction over the statement of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has asked for adopting of a multilateral approach to settle the Kashmir dispute, so as to bring an end to the bloodshed in Kashmir., the statement added.
The members also welcomed the news report published by the Global Times run by communist party of China, indicating that China is also ready to intervene between India and Pakistan so that Kashmir problem is settled peacefully and to the satisfaction of the people of Kashmir.
The members also stated that it is heartening to see that day by day, the international community as well as big powers of the world are now taking interest in resolving the Kashmir issue and are ready to mediate so that the issue is settled and peace and tranquility is established in sub-continent.
