Srinagar: A One person was on Monday killed and five others injured in a road accident near Banihal on Srinagar-Jammu highway when a private car collided with a passenger cab
Reports said a private car and a passenger cab collided near Gund Tethar Banihal on Srinagar-Jammu highway, resulting into death of one person and injuries to several others.
The deceased was identified as Muhammad Abdullah, a resident of Kishtwar.
An official said the accident took place due to slippery road condition, adding that the injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
In another accident, a bus carrying ITBP soldiers rolled down into a gorge near Khuni Nallah on the highway earlier Monday, leaving a soldier dead and 34 injured.
