Pulwama/Dec, 15: The death toll of civilians in post gunfight clashes in Pulwama has risen to seven after four more civilians were reported to have succumbed to their injuries.
As already reported clashes erupted in Sirnoo Kharpora area of Pulwama district soon after the killing of three militants in a gunfight as angered protesters tried to march to gunfight site.
Locals said that the forces fired live ammunition at the protesters, resulting in six civilian deaths.Officials at district hospital Pulwama said that six injured youth were declared dead at the facility.
They identified slain youth as Shahbaz Ali, resident of Monghama village, Suhail Ahmad of Bellow, Liyaqat Ahmad of Parigam, Murtaza of Prichoo, Tawseef Ahmad Mir of Urchersoo Pulwama, Amir Ahmad Palla of Ashminder and Abid Hussain Lone of Kareemabad.
