Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir governor Satya Pal Malik on Thursday said that no talks will be held with Hurriyat conference until they keep “Pakistan out” of the discussion.
“I recently met representatives from various parties. I met Omar Sahab, Mehboobaji, Tarigami sahab. As far as Hurriyat is concerned, they don’t even go to the toilet without asking Pakistan, so till the time they don’t keep Pakistan separate, no talks will be held with them,” he said while talking to reporters at SKICC.
Speaking on civilian killings in Kulgam, Malik requested the people to stay away from the gunfight sites until they are sanitised by the forces.Seven civilians were killed in Laroo village of Kulgam in a blast at the site of a gunfight on Sunday.
Expressing satisfaction over the conduct of municipal elections in the state Governor exuded confidence that even those who did not participate in the municipal elected will participated in upcoming panchayat elections as panchayat polls are being held on non-party basis.
Claiming that the Government has taken a decision to put in place an anti-corruption bureau (ACB) in the state Governor said all the KAS officers have been asked to file their property statement in short time and those not complying will have to face actions. Admitting bungling in the mediclaim insurance policy implemented for the Government employees Governor said those found guilty will be sternly punished. He also hinted at bungling in the construction of Shahpur water dam.
