Malik, Kalwal released after 20 days

Srinagar : Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik and zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal have been released from police custody Saturday, a JKLF spokesman said. According to the statement issued to Malik was arrested on October 02 while as Noor Muhammad Kalwal was arrested on 09th October. Both were lodged at police station Kothi-bagh and have been released from the said police station Saturday.
Soon after his release, Malik along with a delegation visited Fateh Kadal and Khanyar Srinagar and expressed condolences to the families of recent killed Meraj ud din Bangroo, Fahad Mushtaq Waza and Raies Ahmad Sofi. Malik met with the bereaved families and said that the sacrifices rendered by Kashmiri youth and their families will never go waste. “The kith and kin of innocent Raies Ahmad Sofi told Malik that Raies was taken into custody by police SOG, tortured severely and then killed in custody in cold blood by blood thirsty forces,” the statement said.
On the occasion, Malik while condemning the ‘ongoing genocide’ of Kashmiris said that “blood of Kashmiris is being ruthlessly spilled by so-called biggest democracy which is highly condemnable.”While praying for the heavenly abode, Malik also prayed for the Sabr-Jamil of their bereaved families.Malik also expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the demise of the mother in-law of JKLF vice chairman Mushtaq Ahmad Ajmal who breathed her last yesterday.Wife of late Ghulam Muhammad Khan of Ikhrajpora Srinagar was unwell for some months and bid farewell to this world last evening.Malik along with a delegation reached Ikhrajpora and expressed condolences to the bereaved family.
While paying tributes to late mother, Malik said that she and her family rendered sacrifices for freedom of Kashmir and “today when she has left us, we pray to Allah to bestow her with Jannah and grant her bereaved family Sabr-I-Jamil.”He also visited Naseem Bagh and expressed condolences to the Bhat family at the demise of their mother. The deceased lady was the mother of JKLF senior leader Muhammad Yasin Butt.
It is pertinent to mention that the congregational prayers for the deceased mother will be held tomorrow 21st October 2018, at Malkhah near Zaroo gun factory at 10:00 am.Meanwhile, police as per the statement has arrested senior activist of JKLF Meraj ud din Parray of Soitaing Lasjan and lodged him at police station Nowgam.“Police has also confiscated his scooter and was raiding to arrest him from last many days,” the statement said, condemning his arrest, saying said that “pushing political workers to the wall by putting then behind bars and torturing them by police tactics.
