Srinagar : A 30-year-old man arrested in Anantnag town last month was on Friday booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) and shifted to a jail in Jammu .
An official said Sheikh Sartaj of Anchidora area of Anantnag town was shifted to Kotbal wal jail in Jammu today.
He was arrested a day after the killing of a youth, Rouf Ahmad Ganaie of Al Farooq Colony, in clashes with the government forces following the killing of five militants in Devsar area of neighbouring Kulgam district.
Sartaj had participated in the funeral prayers of the slain youth. The official said Sartaj is also a lower rung Tehreek-e-Hurriyat activist.
