Srinagar : The Mughal Road, Srinagar-Jammu and Srinagar-Leh highways were on Tuesday following fresh snowfall.
“Snowing on the higher reaches along Mughal Road. Traffic stopped on both sides as a precautionary measure,” tweeted IGP Traffic, Basant Rath.
“Snowing at Zojilla pass. Traffic stopped on both sides as a precautionary measure”, he wrote in yet another tweet ”. He said that the Srinagar-Jammu highway was blocked in Ramban following a landslide. “NHW 44 (Jammu to Srinagar) blocked at Digdol, Ramban due to landslide,” tweeted Rath.
As already reported the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir has issued a weather advisory, asking people to avoid avalanche-prone areas.
