Sopore : Three paramilitary CRPF men and a civilian were injured in a grenade attack at Sangrama area of Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday morning.
SSP Sopore Javid Iqbal told that militants attacked CRPF party at Sangrama chowk.In the blast three C vRPF men and a civilian suffered splinter injuries, SSP said.
He said that a hunt has been launched to nab the attackers..civilian injured in attack identified as Hilal ahmad Khanday S /O Ab qayoom Khanday R/O Sopore.
LeT claims responsibility of Sopore grenade attack
Lashkar-e-Taiba on Tuesday claimed responsibility of the grenade attack at Sangrahama, Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The spokesperson of the LeT, Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi said that the cadres of the outfit carried out the grenade attack at Sangrahama in which five CRPF troopers suffered injuries.
He said that the CRPF troops opened fire in retaliation resulting in injuries to a civilian.
Earlier, SSP Sopore Javid Iqbal said that three CRPF men and a civilian received splinter injuries after militants attacked paramilitary deployment. The officer said that the forces have launched a hunt to nab the attackers.
