3 year imprisonment , 5000 fine sentenced to Burgalrs in Uri

Baramulla : In a burglary case in Uri, under the FIR No 22/1/2018 after all the incriminating evidences led by the prosecution at the trail, Sub Judge Uri Imtiyaz Ahmad Lone ordered three year imprisonment under section 457,380 RPC to all the three accused namely Ahmad Jan, Tanveer Ahmad Sofi and Ghulam Mohammad Malik who were presented before the court and where the confessed that they had committed the alleged offences besides being involved in steeling and barging of the houses in Uri and Boniyar. The FIR’s were lodged with the Police Station at Uri and Boniyar. Besides this, fine of Rs 5000 each has also been imposed on the accused, while as in default of depositing fine, the accused shall serve further imprisonment of 06 months.

The Sub judge on the occasion said that,” the court of Law meant to see that no innocent is punished and of course it is also to be seen that no guilty

The FIR was which was lodged on the basis of a written complaint, revealing that some unknown burglars during the night 18/19 of March 2018 after breaking open the lock of room had looted cash, gold ornaments/jewelry kept in the locker. After the investigation and instances, the property stolen was later recovered from possession of accused persons duly identified by the witnesses and after all the processthey found guilty.

People of the area have hailed the decision taken by the Sub judge Uri and are very happy by the decision.
