Kupwara | October, 22: Police have arrested a man in connection with the pasting of provocative and anti-national posters in public spaces in the Handwara area of Kupwara district.
Officials said an investigation was launched immediately after the incident came to light under relevant legal provisions. According to police sources, preliminary inquiries revealed the suspected involvement of terrorist associates and local overground workers in a broader conspiracy. Authorities confirmed that an FIR has been registered at Handwara Police Station and efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend remaining accomplices.
