Zahid Rashid Bhat son of Abdul Rashid Bhat of Braihad, Katapora, Yaripora in Kulgam and Nissar Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Rasool Bhat of Krad Shangus Anantnag were killed in a gun fight on June 6 in Machil Sector and were buried in the same area after their identities were not ascertained. Their families identified them after their photographs went viral on social media networking sites.
Reports said that thousands of people attended their last rites. They were buried amid pro-freedom slogans.
Meanwhile, the family of Barzulla Srinagar youth Friday once again appealed to authorities to handover the body of Mudasir Ahmed who was killed in Kachama Handwara forest in a gunfight with Indian Army.
The family members of Mudasir said they were hopeful authorities will exhume his body and handover that to them but so far there is no word from the police.
Pertinently, Governor NN Vohra had assured MLA Engineer Rasheed that body of Mudasir Ahmed will be handed over to the family.
