Srinagar: Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh, along with a high-level delegation of government officials, arrived here Wednesday evening on a two-day visit to Jammu & Kashmir to review the security situation in the State.
The Home Minister was received at the Technical Airport here by Advisors to the Governor, B B Vyas, K Vijay Kumar and Khurshid Ahmad Ganai, Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam, Director General of Police Dr S P Vaid, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Dr Sehrish Asgar and senior officers of the paramilitary forces.
The Home Minister is accompanied by National Security Advisor, AjitDoval,Union Home Secretary, Rajiv Gauba, Joint Secretary Jammu and Kashmir, Gyanesh Kumar and other officers of the MHA.
The Home Minister held discussions with Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan on various important issues relating to security management, implementation of development programs and positive engagement of the youth in the State. Governor briefed Home Minister about the ongoing Amarnath Yatra.
