Karra Says ‘Will revolt if Congress allies with ‘traitor and sinking ship’

Srinagar: Amid speculations that Congress in Jammu and Kashmir will support People’s Democratic Party in government formation, senior Congress leader Tariq Hameed Karra has said that in the event of anything happening like that, he will be the first person to oppose it as will not allow Congress Party to board a sinking boat which not only betrayed people but have blood stains of hundreds and thousands of innocent people of Kashmir all over them.
Karra as quotyed by local news gathering agency CNS said that PDP is intentionally spreading rumours that it will form the government with the help of Congress party, which is not actual reality.
“PDP has blinded hundreds of innocent boys and girls. It has incapacitated thousands of our youth, maimed them jailed them and rendered their future dark by slapping PSA on them. PDP has facilitated RSS to reach to every nook and corner of the State especially Kashmir Valley, where as per Amit Shah, they have opened 52 RSS Shakhas,” Karra said.
“In my opinion PDP is a traitor and at least I am not, in any case, ready to shake hands with them and if Congress Party or anyone in it tries to stitch alliance with them. I will not hesitate to revolt against yet another unholy alliance. Today PDP has become unholy and anyone shaking hands would turn unholy,” he said.
Karra said that he has been warning about this (PDP-BJP) alliance. “I was even mocked. Whatever was agreed to be done was never done. I had always opposed the idea of the party teaming up with the Bharatiya Janata Party to form an alliance after a fractured mandate in 2015 assembly polls. It was an unnatural alliance and the PDP lost its character as it did exactly what it opposed in the past when it was in opposition,” Karra said.
While lambasting PDP, Karra said that people of Jammu and Kashmir will always remember this party as a collaborator for fascist RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh)-governed BJP.
But as fate would have it, Mehbooba Mufti’s indulgence has come to a sudden end. Abandoned, Mehbooba Mufti and her party have been taken by surprise.”
“I had very openly cautioned Mehbooba Ji that what RSS could not achieve in sixty years, they have been able to achieve within six months in our State, especially in Kashmir Valley. I cautioned her about opening of offices by BJP and likes in the Valley and even the Shakhas by RSS in the fringe areas of the valley. But my word of caution was responded by her saying that India is a free country and nobody can be stopped by anybody from opening their offices anywhere,” Karra said.
