Three killed, four injured after vehicle plunges into gorge in Kupwara

Kupwara: Three persons, including a teenage boy, died and four others were injured after a vehicle they were travelling on met with an accident in Chowkibal area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday.
The accident took place after the vehicle plunged into a gorge in Manshtar area of Chowkibal. A minor boy identified as Parvez Ahmad Khowaja (23) son of Mohammad Yousuf Khowaja died on the spot while as Rayees Ahmad Sheikh (14) son of Fayaz Ahmad Sheikh of Dardpora and Ishfaq Khatana son of Abdul Rashid of Satboyen Dardpora succumbed later in the hospital, said an official.
Four other persons travelling in the vehicle also suffered critical injuries, he said.
All the injured have been shifted to sub-district hospital Kupwara where from they have been referred to Srinagar hospital for specialized treatment.
