Srinagar: Dr. Khurshid Iqbal Andrabi, Vice Chancellor, University of Kashmir, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan Thursday.
Dr. Andrabi informed the Governor about the functioning of the University. Governor re-iterated the high importance of ensuring against any deviation from the norm by the Faculty or the students, which vitiates the academic environment and results in eroding the teaching and research programs, which affects the careers of the students. He stressed the need to ensure strict adherence to discipline and academic accountability and the need for teachers to remain closely connected with youth and guide them effectively.
