Kulgam: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday claimed to have foiled a bid by the militants to loot a bank in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
A spokesman, in a statement, said that the “militants appeared at the Bugam branch of J&K Bank in Kulgam and tried to loot the public money.”
He said the “alert” security personnel present there foiled their attempt and the robbers fled away from the spot.
“Manhunt has been launched to nab the perpetrators,” he said.
