Jammu :District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shreya Singhal, Monday chaired a comprehensive meeting at the MC Complex, Ganderbal, to review the overall functioning of the Municipal Council Ganderbal, the execution of various ongoing developmental projects, and the effective implementation of flagship government schemes.

The meeting was attended by CPO Ganderbal, CEO Municipal Council Ganderbal, Executive Engineers of PMGSY, R&B, I&FC and KPDCL along with other officers.

During the meeting,  CEO, Municipal Council Ganderbal delivered a detailed presentation outlining the town’s administrative profile, civic infrastructure, and progress achieved across multiple urban development portfolios.

The discussions thoroughly evaluated major funding schemes spanning District Capex (2026–27), UIRF, FC Grants, and IDMT. Particular emphasis was laid on accelerating critical urban enhancement projects such as the Sind River Front (Phase I), Town Hall upgrade, entry gate construction, smart library developments, local parking spaces, and recreational parks.

The review also extended to vital environmental and public health infrastructure, including the comprehensive SWM facilities at Hakeemgund, National Green Tribunal NGT initiatives, and the AMRUT 2.0 water treatment plant project.

Furthermore, the meeting evaluated housing and welfare achievements under PMAY (Urban) 1.0 and 2.0, alongside micro-credit disbursements and digital financial inclusion efforts under the PM SVANidhi scheme.

Concluding the meeting, the DDC stressed the imperative of time-bound execution, strict adherence to quality parameters, and seamless inter-departmental coordination to ensure transparency and optimal public service delivery.
