Farmers join live streaming of 24th installment release event

Jammu :The Directorate of Command Area Development (CAD) Jammu Friday organized awareness programmes at ATTC ChakJaralan Farm Samba and the Assistant Soil Conservation Office Dayalachak, Kathua to mark PM-KISAN Utsav Diwas.

The programmes coincided with the release of the 24th installment of PM-KISAN for the period August 2026 – November 2026 by the Prime Minister from Banaskantha Gujarat.

A large number of farmers, including women farmers, participated in the programmes at the twin venues. The participants watched the live webcast of the main event from Banaskantha, Gujarat from where the Prime Minister released the 24th installment of PM-KISAN to eligible beneficiaries across the country.

PM-KISAN, a flagship scheme of the Government of India launched in February 2019, provides income support of ₹6,000 per year to eligible farmer families through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into their Aadhaar-linked and DBT-enabled active bank accounts. Since its inception, more than ₹4.47 lakh crore has been transferred to farmers across the country through 23 installments.

On the occasion, officers of the Directorate of CAD Jammu interacted with the farmers and made them aware of the interventions being carried out by CAD Jammu, as per its mandate, for the welfare of farmers. The farmers expressed appreciation for the initiative and the interaction with the officers and said such programmes help them become aware of departmental schemes and the benefits available to them. Officers and officials of the Directorate of CAD Jammu were present on the occasion.
