Srinagar | October, 30: Traffic movement on Boulevard Road from Lalit Ghat to Kralsangri will remain restricted on Saturday from 8:30 am until the conclusion of the Run for Unity event, Traffic Police announced.
Officials said the event, being organized to mark Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, will start from SKICC and conclude at the Botanical Garden, with VIPs and participants expected to attend. Motorists traveling towards Nishat, Shalimar, and Harwan have been advised to use the Dalgate-Rainawari-Hazratbal route, while those heading towards Lal Chowk from these areas should take the Foreshore-Hazratbal route. Commuters from Gulab Bagh, Zakoora, Naseembagh, Habbak, and adjoining areas have been advised to use the Habbak-Dargah-Khanyar route to reach Lal Chowk instead of Foreshore Road.
Participants can park their vehicles at designated locations, including Police Golf Course, Royal Spring Golf Course, Jet Ski Point, Botanical Garden, and Barista near Lalit Ghat, whereas vehicles parked along roadsides will be towed. Students appearing in examinations have been advised to plan their journeys in advance, while ambulances and fire tenders will be allowed to take the shortest possible routes. Reports said commuters can contact the Traffic Police Control Room at 103 for assistance.
