New Delhi| Sept, 11 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday met United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit here, with the two leaders discussing global conflicts, multilateral reforms, sustainable development, emerging technologies and the need for a more representative global governance system.
Guterres congratulated Modi on India assuming the BRICS chairship for the fourth time, while the two leaders underscored the importance of multipolarity and agreed on the need to reform multilateral institutions, including the UN Security Council, to reflect contemporary global realities.
