Ahmedabad : Jammu & Kashmir Tourism concluded its three-day participation at the Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) Ahmedabad with the Union Territory being conferred the Best Adventure Tourism Destination Award at the event.

The award recognised J&K’s growing profile as a destination offering a diverse range of adventure tourism experiences, including trekking, rafting, skiing, mountaineering and paragliding.

During the fair, J&K Tourism showcased the region’s tourism offerings before travel trade representatives, industry stakeholders and visitors, with a focus on adventure, culture, heritage and community-based tourism.

The delegation also promoted homestays, village tourism and immersive cultural experiences as part of efforts to diversify the tourism portfolio beyond conventional sightseeing.

J&K Tourism invited travellers from Gujarat and other parts of the country to explore the region’s natural, cultural and adventure tourism potential.

Officials highlighted the potential of homestays and community-based tourism to support local livelihoods while offering visitors opportunities to experience the region’s culture, traditions, cuisine and hospitality.

The participation at TTF Ahmedabad is expected to further strengthen J&K’s engagement with the Gujarat travel market and promote the Union Territory as a destination for experiential and adventure-led tourism.
