Anantnag : Police on Saturday booked a notorious drug peddler under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT-NDPS) Act in Anantnag to dismantle local narcotics distribution channels.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, Police said that the accused, identified as Aabid Ahmad Nanda, S/O Abdul Hamid Nanda, R/O Dugpora, Khanabal, Anantnag, was involved in multiple NDPS cases across the district. After completing legal formalities, the habitual offender was transferred to Central Jail Kot Bhalwal, Jammu, under preventive detention to curb his ongoing illicit activities.
