Director, Registrar credit faculty, students and staff for sustained progress
Baramulla : National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar has achieved 31st place among all engineering colleges in India and 21st among government engineering institutions.
The improvement from last year’s rankings, where it was 32nd overall and 23rd among government colleges, highlights the institute’s commitment to academic excellence and institutional development. The institute’s overall score of 193.9 reflects strong performance in key areas, including 181.2 in admissions, 91.9 in placements, and 189.6 in fees and value. These metrics indicate a growing academic reputation and enhanced student outcomes. Prof. Babar Ahmad, Chairman of NIRF NIT Srinagar, emphasized that this achievement is a collective effort involving faculty, students, researchers, staff, and alumni, contributing to the institute’s enhanced national standing. Director Prof. Binod Kumar Kanaujia expressed pride in the accomplishment, attributing it to the dedication of the entire NIT Srinagar community. He reaffirmed the institute’s focus on quality education, innovative research, and industry collaboration to further elevate its status. Registrar Prof. Atikur Rehman noted that the improved ranking is a testament to the ongoing efforts to strengthen the academic ecosystem and infrastructure, with a commitment to achieving even greater milestones in the future. Dr. Vijay Kumar, Nodal Officer for NIRF, highlighted that the improved rankings reflect sustained efforts towards academic excellence and quality education. He reiterated the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders in enhancing the institute’s academic and research capabilities for future rankings.
