Railways advises passengers to check train status before travel

Srinagar :  Northern Railway’s Jammu Division has announced the cancellation of three passenger trains operating in the Kashmir Valley from July 11 to July 25 to facilitate track maintenance work on the Banihal-Baramulla rail section.

According to an official statement, the maintenance work is being undertaken to strengthen the railway track and ensure safe and efficient train operations during the summer season.

The cancelled trains are Train No. 74615 Banihal-Baramulla, Train No. 74632 Baramulla-Budgam, and Train No. 74628 Budgam-Banihal. These services will remain suspended throughout the maintenance period.

Railway authorities have advised passengers to check the latest train status on the IRCTC website, the IRCTC mobile application, or through Rail Madad/139 before commencing their journey.

The Railways expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and sought the cooperation of passengers during the maintenance work, stating that the exercise is essential for ensuring safer and more reliable rail operations in the Kashmir Valley.
