Anantnag: Police on Tuesday said that it has registered several cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in Anantnag district.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday Police said that in Bijbehara five individuals have been tested positive for drug use. These individuals have been formally charged under the NDPS Act, with specific FIR numbers assigned to each case. Additionally, in a separate operation Kokernag police acted on credible inputs and apprehended two individuals found in suspicious circumstances. Both were subjected to medical examinations, which confirmed their drug consumption. Consequently, these individuals have also been charged under the NDPS Act, with ongoing investigations to further address the circumstances surrounding their cases.
