Srinagar |June, 15:  The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has submitted a charge-sheet against Tariq Ahmad Ganie, a Junior Engineer with the J&K Housing Board, and his wife, Rukhsana Jan, an Anganwadi worker, in a case concerning disproportionate assets.

In a statement issued here on Monday J&K ACB said that this action follows the registration of FIR No. 18/2020 under relevant sections of the J&K Prevention of Corruption Act and the RPC at the ACB Srinagar. The investigation revealed significant financial transactions, amounting to crores of rupees, in various bank accounts associated with the accused, indicating assets beyond their known income sources. The ACB’s findings led to the formal charge-sheet being filed after securing the necessary prosecution sanction from the government. The case is now under the jurisdiction of the Special Judge Anti-Corruption in Srinagar, with the next hearing scheduled for July 8, 2026.
