The prestigious camp, being attended by nearly 340 NCC cadets representing all 17 NCC Directorates of the country, was attended by the young participants from diverse cultural, linguistic and geographical backgrounds on a common platform of unity, discipline, leadership and national integration. Senior civil and military dignitaries were also present on the occasion.

The programme began with a ceremonial Guard of Honour by NCC cadets, followed by a cultural showcase that celebrated the diverse traditions of India, embodying the spirit of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.” This event emphasized the importance of youth in fostering emotional and national integration. Maj Gen Anupinder Bevli, VSM, highlighted the role of the Special National Integration Camp in promoting cultural exchange and friendship among youth, acknowledging the support from various military units for the camp’s success. Satish Sharma welcomed participants to Jammu & Kashmir, praising the enthusiasm and discipline of the cadets. The Minister emphasized that such camps provide cadets with opportunities to experience India’s cultural richness while promoting unity and national pride. He underscored the youth’s role as ambassadors of peace and their responsibility in nation-building. Sharma, reflecting on his military background, commended the NCC for instilling values of discipline and leadership in young people. He urged cadets to commit to ideals of integrity and social responsibility, encouraging active participation in developmental initiatives. He also addressed the issue of drug abuse among youth, calling for cadets to advocate for healthy lifestyles and fitness, leveraging the leadership skills gained through the NCC. The Minister praised the upcoming “NCC Unity Run – Run with Pride, Run for India” as a means to promote fitness and patriotism. He expressed appreciation for the camaraderie and enthusiasm observed during the camp and commended the efforts of NCC authorities and military personnel in providing participants with meaningful cultural exposure. The cadets expressed their commitment to national service and unity, describing the camp as a memorable experience that deepened their understanding of India’s cultural diversity.
