Ganderbal : The two-day national seminar on “GST Reforms 2.0: Sectoral Growth Prospects and Challenges,” organized by the Department of Commerce, CUKashmir, in collaboration with the ICSSR, concluded at the Tulmulla Campus on Thursday.

Highlighting GST’s role in dismantling pre-GST vertical integration, former VC of CCS University, Prof. Narendra Kumar Taneja, remarked that the unified market dismantles the “tax-inspired, tax-distorted vertical integration” of the pre-GST era. Key speakers, including Prof. D. K. Madaan and M.G. Kodandaram, detailed how the consumption-based tax system has boosted supply chain efficiency, rationalized tax slabs, and expanded input tax credits. Out of 74 submitted research papers, 50 were selected for presentation, showcasing CUKashmir’s drive to foster high-level policy dialogue under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. A. Ravinder Nath.
