Anantnag: SSP Anantnag Amod Ashok Nagpure on Monday chaired an operations and crime review meeting at DPO Anantnag to assess the overall crime situation and review the progress of investigations across the district.
The meeting was attended by senior police officers including SP Headquarters Anantnag, ASP North Camp Aishmuqam, DySP Headquarters, DySP DAR, SDPOs, SHOs and In-Charges of Police Posts.
During the meeting, SSP Anantnag felicitated SDPO Bijbehara, SHO Bijbehara and DO Sangam for registering the maximum number of NDPS cases and taking strong action against the economic assets of drug smugglers.
A detailed review of pending investigations, execution of warrants and disposal of cases was conducted. Officers were directed to ensure speedy and professional investigation of cases, particularly those related to narcotics. SSP Anantnag stressed the need for strong and legally sustainable cases against drug peddlers and habitual offenders. He also directed officers to strengthen preventive measures, maintain proper crime records and work with dedication for effective crime control and timely justice delivery.
