Srinagar : The NashaMukt Abhiyan – Naari Shakti Initiative, organized by the School of Nursing and Biomedical Sciences at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri was aimed to foster a healthy, informed, and drug-free society through youth engagement and women empowerment.
Under the leadership of Prof. Titi Xavier, the initiative included various awareness activities, which were praised by Prof. Jawaid Iqbal, the Vice Chancellor of BGSBU, for their role in promoting a drug-free community. Key activities included a Signature Campaign that encouraged students and staff to pledge their commitment to a drug-free society, demonstrating strong participation and solidarity with the national mission against substance abuse. Additionally, a Digital Skills and Photography Session was held to enhance students’ creative and technical skills, focusing on the responsible use of technology and media to spread awareness about substance abuse prevention. The College of Nursing in Kishtwar also contributed by organizing a Video Making Activity, which allowed students to creatively express their ideas through short videos aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle free from drugs.
