Bandipora : Police on Monday launched district-wide compliance inspections targeting SIM card vendors and fertilizer retailers to enhance public safety and prevent regulatory misuse.
In a statement issued here on Monday, Police said that checking teams inspected vendor registers at Ajas to verify customer documentation rules, while checking fertilizer shops across Police Station Aragam and Police Post Sumlar jurisdictions to prevent black-market diversion to anti-social elements. Shopkeepers and commercial establishment owners across both sectors were instructed to maintain accurate logbooks and strictly advised to install CCTV surveillance cameras to bolster security monitoring.
