Srinagar : Police on Tuesday said that it has attached a residential house and land worth approximately ₹1.2 crore in the Hazratbal area, linked to drug trafficking.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday Police said that the property was identified during investigation as proceeds of illicit narcotics trade and was attached under provisions of the NDPS Act, adding therein that the owner has been barred from selling or transferring the property. In its statement Police termed the move a major step in targeting the financial backbone of drug networks and reiterated commitment to continue strict action against offenders.
