4 Vehicles seized for Illegal Mining in Baramulla, Pulwama: Police

Baramulla :  Police on Saturday said that it has seized four vehicles in separate operations in Baramulla and Pulwama.

In a statement issued here on Saturday Police said that Police Station Kreeri in Baramulla district seized two tippers loaded with illegally extracted sand at Nawan Mode during routine patrolling. In Pulwama, Police Post Newa intercepted a tipper (JK13A-5547) carrying illegally extracted sand. A case under FIR No. 77/2026 under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Pulwama. In another operation, a dumper (JK13K-1044) loaded with illegally extracted clay was seized, and a case under FIR No. 80/2026 was registered. In its Police reiterated its commitment to curb illegal mining and protect natural resources.
