Anantnag : Police on Wednesday said that it has fitted a GPS-enabled tracking anklet on a bailed-out NDPS accused in Anantnag district. The action was taken in compliance with court directions.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday Police said that the device enables real-time tracking of the accused’s movements, ensuring adherence to bail conditions and preventing further involvement in illegal activities. The accused is involved in a case registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act. In its statement Police also termed it a major step towards ensuring accountability and law enforcement effectiveness.
