Srinagar: Minister for Education, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari Saturday highlighted the need for a timely supply of standard tree spray oils for flourishing fruit industry of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Minister made these remarks during the launch ceremony of Veedol tree spray oil at a local hotel here.

Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Mohammad Harun Malik, Director Agriculture, Syed Altaf Aijaz Andrabi, and other concerned were also present at the launch ceremony.

Representatives of the Veedol company told the audience that the spray oil is emulsified oil formulated from hydro-processed premium base oil and high-performance emulsifier additive, which provides excellent protection and effective management of some very difficult pests and other diseases on apple trees.

On the occasion, Altaf Bukhari said Government will not allow any unregistered company to enter the market for ensuring availability of quality Horticulture Mineral Oils (HMO) to the farmers.
