DC Kulgam reviews works under Distt Capex, Directs speeding up execution of dev works

Kulgam| Sept, 28:Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Shahzad AlamMonday chaired a review meeting to assess the status of estimation, tendering, allotment and execution of works approved under District Capex Budget Pan for year 2026-27.
During the meeting, department-wise status was reviewed in detail including works where estimation is pending, works where estimation done but NIT not floated, ongoing works and their physical progress.
Sector-wise review including that of Education, RDD, Sports, R&B, Power, Health and works of other departments were also reviewed. He also reviewed the physical progress of ongoing works and directed officers to accelerate pace, maintain quality parameters and ensure regular monitoring of work progress.
The DC directed for immediate submission of estimates of pending approved works in some departments so that administrative approvals and technical sanctions are accorded in time. He further directed for expediting the tendering process, finalizing allotments and ensuring early take-up of works at ground level to ensure maximum working season is utilized.
All Executive Engineers and sectoral officers were directed to personally monitor works, resolve bottlenecks on spot, ensure inter-departmental coordination and submit daily progress.
