According to an official notification issued by the Transport Department, the revised fares have been fixed under provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, in partial modification of earlier notification SRO-97 dated March 19, 2021.
The notification states that the fare hike will be applicable to big buses, medium and mini buses, taxi/maxi cabs (including base models such as Sumo, Bolero, Tata Indica, Swift, Tata Winger, Tempo Traveller), as well as medium and premium segment tourist taxis like Tavera, Scorpio, Qualis, Xylo, Innova and Fortuner.
