The continued delay in the payment of examination remuneration for the year 2025 by University of Kashmir has become a matter of deep concern and frustration among the academic community. Teachers, evaluators, and other academic staff who devoted their valuable time and effort to the university’s examination process are still waiting for their rightful remuneration. Such prolonged delays are not only disappointing but also reflect poorly on the administrative efficiency of the institution.
Examination duties such as paper setting, evaluation, invigilation, and other related academic responsibilities demand dedication, professional commitment, and time. Faculty members and academic staff willingly undertake these responsibilities to ensure that the academic calendar runs smoothly and students receive their results on time. However, when the remuneration for such services remains pending for an extended period, it raises serious questions about the system’s accountability and respect for academic labor.
It is highly unfortunate that despite repeated reminders and expectations, the payments for the 2025 examination duties have still not been released. For many teachers and staff members, this remuneration is not merely an additional allowance but a rightful compensation for their professional services. Delaying such payments sends a discouraging message to those who play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of the university’s examination system.

Institutions of higher learning are expected to set standards of professionalism, transparency, and efficiency. A prestigious institution like the University of Kashmir should ensure that those who contribute to its academic processes are treated with fairness and respect.
Timely payment of examination remuneration is not just an administrative responsibility; it is also a matter of institutional credibility and moral obligation. If educators continue to face such delays, it may eventually discourage them from participating in examination-related duties in the future, which could affect the smooth functioning of academic processes.
The university administration must take immediate steps to address this issue and release the pending payments without any further delay. Transparency regarding the reasons behind the delay and a clear timeline for payment would also help restore confidence among the academic community.
The academic fraternity hopes that the authorities at the University of Kashmir will take this matter seriously and act promptly. After all, recognizing and respecting the efforts of educators is essential for maintaining the dignity and reputation of any educational institution.
