Kupwara : In view of the ensuing holy month of Ramadan, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kupwara, Gulzar Ahmad Khan chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review and finalize necessary arrangements for the people during the holy month of Ramadan.
The ADC directed all concerned departments to ensure the availability of essential services, including uninterrupted power and water supply, sanitation and market regulation.
The Power Development Department (PDD) was instructed to provide uninterrupted electricity, particularly during Sehri and Iftar hours, while the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department was asked to ensure adequate water supply.
Emphasizing cleanliness and hygiene, the ADC instructed Municipal Committees to enhance sanitation efforts in towns and market places. Additionally, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department was directed to conduct regular market inspections to regulate prices, prevent hoarding, and ensure the availability of essential commodities.
The ADC urged all stakeholders to work in coordination to provide the best possible services to the people of Kupwara during the holy month so that they do not face any inconvenience.
The meeting was attended by Tehsildars, Executive Engineers from PDD and PHE, AD Food and other concerned officers.
