Advisory issued as officials inspect roads, hospitals
Srinagar: Amid prevailing inclement weather conditions and forecast of widespread light to moderate rain and snowfall across Kashmir, including Srinagar district, authorities on Tuesday issued an advisory, urging residents to avoid unnecessary movement.
People through the said advisory have been asked to remain vigilant and stay indoors until January 31, venturing out only in cases of absolute necessity.
Tourists, local Shikara Wallas, sand miners and others operating on Dal Lake, River Jhelum and other water bodies have been strictly advised against crossing or operating without first verifying prevailing conditions and the safety status of these water bodies.
