Srinagar : Police on Tuesday said that it has attached a residential property worth lakhs of rupees situated at Karimabad area of Pulwama district under SIT NDPS Act.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday Police said that the attached property comprises a single-storied residential house located in Karimabad, Tehsil Pulwama, and is registered under Khasra No. 1735 Min, Khewat No. 485, and Khata No. 992. It belongs to Fayaz Ahmad Mir, a resident of the same area. Authorities have determined that this property was illegally acquired through proceeds from narcotics trafficking. Consequently, it has been seized and attached under Section 68-F(1) in conjunction with Chapter-VA of the NDPS Act, 1985, as per Order No. 01/2026 dated January 13, 2026. Fayaz Ahmad Mir is implicated in two separate FIRs (No. 248/2025 and No. 39/2025), both under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act, indicating his ongoing involvement in drug-related criminal activities. In its statement Police reiterated its commitment to combat drug trafficking through rigorous legal actions against individuals engaged in such activities, including the targeting of properties obtained through illegal means.
