DODA, DECEMBER 20: On the second day of the “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” campaign, the district administration Doda further intensified grievances redressal, public outreach and awareness activities across urban and rural areas. The initiative continued to focus on responsive, transparent and citizen-centric governance, with officers and departments reaching out to people at the grassroots to address their concerns and ensure effective delivery of government services.

As part of the second-day activities, ACD Din Mohammad Afaqi held a Grievances Redressal Camp at Zila Gramin Vikas Bhawan.

The officials listened to issues related to rural development, welfare schemes, essential services and local matters and resolved many on the spot. Grievances related to power supply were also resolved. The Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department conducted inspections of the water filtration plants including third-party machinery checks to ensure uninterrupted and quality drinking water supply.

Outreach activities were conducted in Chirala, Ghat and Kastigarh Blocks, including Panchayat Gagla (Pyt Gagla and Lower Mundhar-B). PWD organised grievances redressal and awareness camp at Gandoh, addressing key road infrastructure issues.

The Social Welfare Department, under the guidance of the District Social Welfare Officer, organized a Grievances Redressal Camp at Khakhal Mohallah.

Tehsil Social Welfare Officer briefed participants about the social welfare schemes, while grievances were recorded and several resolved on the spot.

Meanwhile, the PHE Department organized a grievances and awareness camp at Neeli Halore. The official team sensitised daily-rated workers about financial and welfare schemes and certified “Har Ghar Jal” status of Village Halore under Water Supply Scheme Gowari (JJM), reinforcing the district’s commitment to universal drinking water coverage.

Meanwhile, DDC Chairman, Dhananter Singh led grievances redressal and review of development activities across several panchayats, including MS Doki (Panchayat Chiralla, Block Chirala), Panchayat Kandote (Block Thathri) and Dharyouth Panchayat, Block Kahara, with active participation from PWD (R&B) Division Gandoh and I&FC Division Bhaderwah.

Adding to the activities, the Department of Handloom and Handicrafts organized Artisans Sensitization Programmes at Doda, Seri Bhaderwah, Malwas and Arnora, creating awareness about training programmes, financial support schemes, Karkhandar Scheme, Credit Card Scheme, PMJJBY, PMSBY and education scholarships for children of artisans and weavers.
