He added that in later stages, the complete IT inventory of the UT of J&K will be integrated with EDR and other cyber security systems to enhance asset visibility and strengthen overall cyber security posture.

He asked the officers to organise regular training and on boarding sessions for Administrative Departments and Sub-DDOs to ensure smooth operational rollout across all levels.

The Secretary directed that NIC will incorporate an additional module in the e-SAM Portal to capture software inventory details, in addition to hardware assets.

He emphasized on the importance of timely coordination among all stakeholders and directed that the complete implementation of the e-SAM Portal should be ensured by 15th December 2025.

During the meeting, the Secretary was informed that user accounts for all 42 departments Administrative Departments have been created and that admin credentials have already been shared with the respective departments. The departmental administrators will now create Store In-charge level user accounts at their end.

The Project Management Unit (PMU) further apprised the Secretary that department-wise coordination meetings with Nodal Officers are scheduled to commence from 10th November 2025 to provide structured on-boarding and handholding support.
